Not a Law Firm
aftrmi, a service operated by RIPAPP LLC ("aftrmi," "we," "us," or "our") is a technology company. We are not a law firm or a substitute for an attorney, and we do not employ, recommend, or endorse any attorneys. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of aftrmi.
No Legal Advice
Nothing on our website or within our application constitutes legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice. The information, tools, and documents provided by aftrmi are for informational and organizational purposes only. They are not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional qualified in your jurisdiction.
No Attorney-Client Privilege or Confidentiality
Because aftrmi is not a law firm and no attorney-client relationship exists, communications between you and aftrmi (including information you enter into the application, support requests, and any data you store with us) are not protected by attorney-client privilege and are not legally confidential in the sense that attorney-client communications are. Information you provide may be accessed by aftrmi staff for support and operational purposes and may be subject to disclosure if required by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request). If you need privileged legal communications, consult a licensed attorney directly.
This is a statement about legal privilege, not about how we treat your data. We know how personal and valuable your information is, and we make our best efforts to handle it with the utmost care and confidentiality, including encryption in transit and at rest, client-side encryption for vault items, and strict access controls. Our commitments are described in our Privacy Policy and Security pages. What this section says is narrower: those protections come from our own policies and applicable privacy laws, not from the attorney-client privilege that attaches to communications with your own lawyer.
Documents Are Informational Tools
aftrmi allows you to create, organize, and store documents such as wills, healthcare directives, and powers of attorney. These documents are generated based on information you provide and general legal templates. aftrmi makes no representation or warranty that any document generated through our service:
- Complies with the laws of your state, county, or jurisdiction
- Is legally valid, binding, or enforceable
- Meets the specific requirements of your personal situation
- Will be accepted by any court, financial institution, or government agency
We Recommend an Attorney Review
We strongly recommend that you have any documents generated by aftrmi reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before relying on them. Estate planning laws vary significantly by state and jurisdiction, and your personal circumstances may require customized legal guidance that our general-purpose tools cannot provide.
Execution and Witnessing Requirements
Even if a document generated by aftrmi contains legally appropriate language, it may not be valid unless properly executed. Most jurisdictions require wills and other estate planning documents to be signed in the presence of witnesses and/or a notary public. aftrmi does not facilitate execution, witnessing, or notarization. You are solely responsible for ensuring any document is properly executed under the laws of your jurisdiction.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
While we strive to keep our templates and information current, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content. Laws change, and our templates may not reflect the most recent legislative changes in your jurisdiction. Use of aftrmi is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, aftrmi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our service, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on any document, information, or tool provided by aftrmi.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into aftrmi. You are responsible for determining whether any document or plan created with aftrmi is appropriate for your needs. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
